How to Mix Your Apricot Kernel Oil Face Scrub

A guide to making a fresh facial scrub

If you love a natural glow and a moment of quiet self-care, our Apricot Kernel Oil Face Scrub offers the perfect blend of nourishment and gentle exfoliation. This fresh-mix formula uses ultra-fine ground almond meal paired with hydrating apricot kernel oil to smooth, soften, and brighten your skin.

One of the beautiful things about this product is that you mix it fresh before each use. That means no preservatives, no fillers—just pure, raw ingredients activated moments before they touch your skin.

Here’s your simple guide to mixing it perfectly.

Designed for Freshness: A Four-Step Ritual You Mix Yourself

Your Apricot Kernel Oil Face Scrub is intentionally crafted as a four-phase fresh-mix ritual. Each component—orange floral water, nourishing oils, pure honey, and the kaolin clay–almond meal blend—is kept separate to preserve the purity and integrity of the ingredients.
By activating them just before use, you experience the true richness of each botanical element. Nothing sits pre-mixed for months, and no unnecessary preservatives are needed. Instead, you create a beautifully fresh, personalised exfoliant that feels luxurious on the skin and allows you to tailor the texture every time.

Ingredients that make up Apricot Kernel Oil Face Scrub

The orange floral water, presented with an eyedropper, adds a delicate aromatic lift and helps bind the mixture.
The oil blend provides slip and hydration, allowing the exfoliant to glide effortlessly.
The honey adds natural humectant benefits and a creamy richness.
The kaolin clay and fine almond meal powder gently polish the skin while absorbing impurities.
Together, the four elements form a sensory self-care ritual that feels indulgent, intentional, and wonderfully natural.

Why the Scrub Comes as phases A to D

By mixing all the ingredients together when you need it, the product is naturally stable and fresh. Almond meal is gentle, creamy, and softly exfoliating—perfect for most skin types, including dry or mature skin.

By adding the liquid just before use, you can customise the texture to suit your skin’s needs every time.

Each amber glass bottle and jar is labelled A through to D.

  1. Mix A raw active Jarrah honey with B Apricot kernel oil and castor oil. Give it a little stir with a clean spoon to evenly distribute the liquid ingredients.
  2. Pour A+B into C White Kaolin clay and Almond meal. Give it another little mix up with spoon. The amber glass jar will keep the finished mixture sealed and fresh for a few days.
  3. Use the dripper to place a few drops of D orange floral water into the amber glass jar (C). Stir once more to distribute evenly. Add a few more drops if your would like a thinner consistency.
  4. Place 1 to 2 teaspoons in the palm of your hand and smooth onto clean, damp skin. Use a circular motion to gently massage over your face avoiding eyes. This will take 20 to 30 seconds.
  5. Gently wipe away with a warm, damp organic cotton muslin face cloth. Enjoy the glow.

How to store Apricot Kernel Face Scrub

Apricot Kernel Face Scrub will only take a few minutes to make. This is a lovely self-care ritual to help you to gently cleanse your skin while learning what makes a simple, effective facial scrub.

As a precaution, only make up enough to use straight away as there are no preservatives in this product.

Keep wet fingers out of the finished product as this could spoil the scrub.

Any leftover scrub should be sealed in the amber glass jar (phase C) and stored in the fridge. Alternately, share it with your family or use the remainder as a body scrub. You could also halve all the phases and mix it in the same way as described above in a separate bowl.

There is more floral water than needed to make one batch of Apricot Kernel Oil Face Scrub. This is to allow you to achieve the best degree of creaminess for your face scrub. Leftover orange floral is nice to cool your facial skin on a warm day.
